rules
Applying
Please be sure to read the rules all the way through before applying. You should also have a look at the bio of the character you’re applying for, along with the biographies of the characters listed in the “relationship” section of your character’s biography.

We accept original characters, a few Glee canons, and characters we created (refer to the bios)

Reservations are taken, and last for 24 hours. Please either use an account or sign your reservation and application with a pen name of some kind. Other people are encouraged to apply even if a character is reserved, we’ll just wait for the reservee’s audition to choose.
Once you are accepted, you will have 24 hours to make the account and message us a link. Please go to this page and follow the instructions once you’ve been accepted.
You may apply for multiple characters, but for the purposes of activity you must post on all the accounts at least every five days. Please let us know if you’re applying for an additional character, so that we can consider the application in the context of what you’re already writing in the RP.
Mature themes are included in this RP, including but not limited to sex, alcohol, and drugs. Please do not apply if you cannot handle any of these. Some things written about in the RP may be triggers to people, please let us know in your application if this might be an issue.
Activity
Activity is the key to keeping any RP alive. We ask that you’re on at least every 2 days, when possible, but we do understand that things get busy. Please communicate with us, when possible, if you won’t be on for awhile. We do allow our members to go on hiatus if they need time away from the RP for vacation, finals week, etc. Here’s how to do so.
After five days of inactivity you will be removed from the role play, unless you’ve messaged this blog with a plausible reason that you haven’t been on. We will warn you at 3-4 days of inactivity via a message or a post on this blog.
We expect that you write one para a week, at a bare minimum. Warnings will be given for weeks in which no paras were written by a particular character. A date will be specified by which you must start a para to avoid being removed.
Reblogging/Posting
When para-ing, or even commenting on a photo someone has posted, please reblog as text. If you don’t know how to do this, just ask an admin and we’d be happy to help. If you’re mobile and it’s totally impossible for you to reblog as text, please just let us know.
Chat posts should only be used for ‘texts’ or ‘IMing’ and not for any sort of paras.
Cut posts as much as possible to keep the dash clean. This means that you delete earlier replies, keeping only the last 1-2 things written along with your new material. This applies to GIF posts as well as paras.
We don’t do threading, nor do we have plans to move to this format.
Smut does not have to be under a read more!
You’re welcome to reblog photos of your FC, but this will not count as activity for the purposes of the activity rules. Do this sparingly and when the dash is dead, not several photos every day.
Don’t reblog anything irrelevant to the RP. If you want to reblog your favorite song, make or use a personal Tumblr. Your character may reblog photos/music/videos, but use this option sparingly. If we feel you’re abusing this option we’ll give you a warning via ask
This is a para-based RP. You’re more than welcome to also use text messages, GIF posts, and other means of interacting with other characters, but you should have at least one para going most of the time.
You may para or multi-para, it’s up to you and your partner. All para posts should be at least five sentences, and we highly encourage that you write more.
Self paras (diary entries or actions/thoughts when the character is alone) and open paras (paras which anyone can reply to) are more than welcome, please mark them as such to avoid confusion.
Proper spelling and grammar is a must. No txt speak unless writing out text messages. Absolutely no *action* posts or any variation thereof.
Other role players
Follow everyone in the RP. If someone isn’t following you (after a reasonable period of time from joining) please message the main blog.
Interact with everyone. We all love writing in our ships, but your character should have friends and enemies too! We’ve designed the RP so that most characters have others that they could plausibly know. Please read your bio (and others who have a shared school/career) and follow it.
Don’t drop paras. If you’re writing more than one para at a time, don’t ignore replies from anyone. For a full explanation, go here.
Don’t cause OOC drama.  If it’s a problem, talk to the moderators.
Relating to OOC drama, don’t leave characters out of events/major situations. Actively excluding people makes it hard for people to feel like they’re important to the RP, which they are. Each and every character is needed to have the most successful RPG possible.
Don’t god mod/powerplay. Run any significant plot twists by the person you’re RPing with. Major plots (pregnancy, rape, engagement, marriage, etc) need approval from the admins. Events (chatzys, para themes, etc) also should be approved by the admins in advance. 99% of the time we’ll say yes, but we like to know about these things so that we aren’t planning redundant events/plot twists.
OOC posts go on the ooc blog. You may also write ooc comments in the tags of an IC post, if they are relevant to said post
We recommend, but do not require, that you make a para guide so that others can find your replies if they get buried in the dash. For an example, click here.

Characters

Please be sure that you portray your character in a manner consistent with the biography. We do allow you to propose changes to the biography in your application, so if you’d like to change something please tell us then. Please send an ask with the password “forever yours” after you send in your audition. This way we will be able to know you read the rules and we can make sure we got your audition.

Characters are more than welcome to have flaws/problems/issues. If it’s anything major (pregnancy, mental disorder, car accident, cancer, abuse, etc) please message the main blog first. This is just so that we can post a trigger warning and establish boundaries, you are allowed to play your character as you wish. Just don’t be the sixth car crash victim of the week.

Be realistic about your portrayal of the character. No one is completely happy or completely sad all the time. No one is perfect.

Crack ships, whether between Glee characters or others, are welcome. Multi-shipping is great. No twincest, but other than that any relationship is fair game.
